NEXT Generation Young Professionals Host 2nd Congressional District Candidates Forum

NGYP hosted an “Arkansas 2nd Congressional District Candidates Forum” on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.

The forum included Democratic candidates House Speaker Robbie Wills, state Sen. Joyce Elliott, David Boling, John Adams, Patrick Kennedy and Republican candidates former US Attorney Tim Griffin and Scott Wallace. Candidates were given limited time to discuss subjects of their choosing and also answer specific questions as provided by audience members..

NGYP has hosted forums on downtown Economic Development, the Green Initiative and other vital community issues.

Golf Classic – 3 Man Scramble

The NEXT Generation Young Professionals hosted the first annual 2010 Golf Classic on Monday, April 12th at Stone Links Golf Course. Callahan Real Estate, Inc. won the First Place Championship Flight with Rob Callahan, Ricky Halbert and Jeremy White. Other sponsors included: Central Arkansas Water; Cheers in Maumelle; Coca Cola Bottling of Arkansas; Golden Eagle of Arkansas; Harbor Distributing; North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce; Signs First; Stone Links Golf Course; Texas Roadhouse; and US Foodservice. Proceeds from the event will help to benefit the American Red Cross, Pulaski County CASA, and United Cerebral Palsy. Thanks again to all of the sponsors, participants and volunteers for making this a great event!

Next Generation Young Professionals is sponsored by the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. NGYP was formed to help young professionals from North Little Rock and its surrounding areas to get connected into the community. NGYP also helps its members by providing each other with business leads.

NGYP Presents Check to Pulaski County Habitat for Humanity

The Next Generation Young Professionals (NGYP) of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce presented a check in the amount of $500 to the Pulaski County Habitat for Humanity on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 2 p.m., at 5713 Alta Vista, North Little Rock, AR.

Each year NGYP chooses a non-profit organization to benefit from fundraising efforts as well as contribution of volunteer workers.

On Saturday, April 18th, members from NGYP partnered with Pulaski County Habitat for Humanity to landscape, lay sod and paint the prospective home in North Little Rock.
